Happy National Puppy Day!!
This is the Painted Dog, aka the African Wild Dog. This wild puppy is not a pet for multiple reasons, including the fact that it already has a loving pack family, but we can still enjoy it's beautiful design! Quick Public Service Announcement: If you are considering adopting one or two of these little cuties, please make sure you are truly ready for the responsibility. Like a baby, puppies require a lot of resources, money, time, space, and love. They aren’t a toy to be played with and thrown out or returned if you don’t like them. Quick Fun Fact: The Painted Dog's alpha female is the only female in the pack that gives birth. She can have a litter of 2 to 20 puppies! (Good gravy, that's a lot of mouths to feed and a lot of puppy dog eyes, if you can't...😅🍴🥺). Thankfully, all of these puppies are raised by the entire pack and no dog gets left behind! More on that in the fun facts next week! I hope everyone gets to see some adorable and beautiful puppy posts on the internet today and for the rest of the week!
